On February 11, 2012, the event TEDxTbilisi, devoted to the ideas worth spreading, will take place at Tbilisi State University. The theme is “The Long View”.  The thirteen Georgian and foreigner speakers were chosen from different fields, ranging from science, music, art or diplomacy.

As organisers say TEDxTbilisi is a chance for people around the world to learn more about what is going in Georgia. “Georgia continues to undergo rapid transformation across cultural, social, economic and political norms and remains a compelling and exciting space. A TEDx event is the perfect way to celebrate this, to be inspired, and to be reminded there are commitments beyond the immediacy of daily life,” Deborah Fairlamb, a co-organizer of TEDxTbilisi states.

Attendance is limited and is by application, starting on 21 January via the TEDxTbilisi website.
